A court in Bucharest on Monday handed down prison terms totalling 115 years to 13 people accused of responsibility for the deadly fire at the Colectiv nightclub in Bucharest, in which 65 people lost their lives when a blaze broke out during a concert on October 30, 2015.

Thirteen more people died over the weekend of burns-related injuries after a blaze started by fireworks at a rock concert at the Colectiv nightclub in Bucharest on October 30, bringing the number killed in the tragedy to 46.

The death toll from last week's nightclub fire in Bucharest has increased to 44 after three more people died from injuries on Sunday, the Romanian authorities said.

Doctors say some 100 wounded remain hospitalised, among them 44 in critical condition, AFP reported.
