Father gets life for murder of his daughter, aged 4
An Athens court handed life terms Tuesday to 27-year-old Stanislav Bakardjev and his 30-year-old codefendant, Nazif Ahmedov for the 2015 murder and mutilation of 4-year-old Ani.
The girl's mother, 25-year-old Dimitrina Borisova, was found guilty of exposing the child to danger. She was given a six-year suspended sentence and granted conditional release.

Prosecutor recommends guilty verdict for father in Ani murder trial
A prosecutor Friday recommended that 27-year-old Bulgarian national Stanislav Bakardjiev, along with his 30-year-old accomplice Nazif Ahmedov, be convicted for the cold-blooded murder on Good Friday last April of his 4-year-old daughter Ani Borisova.
Four-year-old Ani was hacked while she was alive, coroner says
A coroner testifying in the case of the murder in Athens of 4-year-old Ani Borisova in May 2015 said she was alive while she was being hacked with a kitchen knife.
His testimony conflicts with that of her father, who has denied killing her but has admitted that he hacked her to pieces only after he found her dead.
