Ahead of the November 5 United States presidential elections, prominent members of the Greek American community released a statement endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris along with vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.

Greece is a "state of law with established democratic institutions" and it "would be dangerous to ignore the achievements of the last 50 years," President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has told the final day of the "50 Years of the Metapolitefsi" conference taking place in Athens.

Elaine Papoulias lives in Lincoln, Massachusetts, a small town with a population of about 7,000, half an hour from Boston, which she said reminds her of Laconia.
