Pope Francis admonished Mexico's political and religious leaders to take on drug violence on Feb. 13, calling for "true justice" and "prophetic courage" against the scourge afflicting the country.

Notorious drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Loera has been captured six months after his escape from a Mexican maximum security prison.

Mexican authorites captured El Chapo during a raid in Los Mochis, the birthplace of the drug lord.
