Ankara wishes speedy recovery to TRNC's premier
Turkey's Vice President Fuat Oktay on March 10 called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minster Ersan Saner to wish him a speedy recovery on behalf of Turkey after the premier undergoing an angiography.
Saner had the imaging test performed at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital because of complaints of tightness in his chest.

Beloved Turkish actor Rasim Öztekin dies at 62
Rasim Öztekin, a beloved Turkish television, theater and movie actor, passed away on March 8 at the age of 62.
Öztekin died at an Istanbul hospital following a heart attack on March 7, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Twitter.
"He was a family member in every home with a television," Koca said.

Turkey, Turkish Cyprus sign financial cooperation pact
Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) signed a financial cooperation agreement on March 4.
The signing ceremony for the Turkey-TRNC 2021 Economic and Monetary Cooperation Agreement was held after Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay received TRNC Prime Minister Ersan Saner and his commission.
Turkish vice president receives head of Turkic Council
Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay received Baghdad Amreyev, secretary-general of the Turkic Council, his office said on Feb. 20.
During the meeting held in Oktay's office in the capital Ankara, Amreyev gave Oktay detailed information ahead of the informal summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, which is planned to be held in Kazakhstan on March 31.

Renown writer, psychologist Cüceloğlu dies at 83
Turkish writer and psychologist Doğan Cüceloğlu on Feb. 16 was found dead at home in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district.
Cüceloğlu, 83, was well known in Turkey for his personal development books, over 40 published scientific articles, and numerous seminars and conferences.

Turkish vice president stresses 2-state model for Cyprus
Turkey's vice president on Feb. 10 underscored the need for a two-state solution for the long-divided island of Cyprus.
"We can talk and negotiate two separate states on the basis of two equal states and two equal societies on Cyprus," said Fuat Oktay, speaking to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) state broadcaster BRT.
Turkish vice president to pay working visit to N Cyprus
Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay will pay a working visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Feb. 10-11.
Oktay will be accompanied by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun and President of Digital Transformation Office Ali Taha Koç.
Magnitude 5 earthquake hits Northern Cyprus
A magnitude 5 earthquake rattled the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Jan. 21, Turkey's disaster management agency said.
According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the quake took place in the eastern Gazimağusa city at 5.27 p.m. Turkish time, which corresponds to 4.27 p.m. in the TRNC (1427 GMT).
