New finds have been unearthed during archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Olympus in Antalya's Kumluca district.

The excavation and restoration work that started in the new season have made the ancient city an important center of the Lycian region in terms of mosaic flooring.

NATO Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) has congratulated Gökçen Fırat after she was promoted to admiral, making her the first woman in the history of the Turkish Navy to hold the rank, citing that her position is of critical importance for maritime operations within the alliance.

The Supreme Military Council has appointed Staff Colonel Gökçen Fırat, hailing from the Naval Forces Command, as the Turkish Armed Forces' first female admiral in its history.
