Following the majority approval of the bill in principle, it passed through Greek Parliament for a plenary debate on Tuesday. The voting of the bill is to take place on Tuesday night after the 10-hour debate is completed.

Greece’s lenders put the brakes on govt hopes for “red loans” exclusions

The Greek government’s negotiation with the country’s creditors (EC, ECB, ESM, IMF) dashed hopes for the exclusion of home loans from distress funds or for 100% of Greece’s Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) to the state instead of salary reductions in the public sector. Talks are continuing for the third day on Thursday with lowered expectations for Greece.

Stathakis: I did not know that I had to declare 37 plots

Economy, Development and Tourism Minister George Stathakis addressed to Greek Parliament referring to the data revealed according to which he had failed to declare 1,800,000 euros and 37 properties.

He said that this revelation is a big lie and he talked in depth about the properties, but he didn’t mention, not even once, the non-declared amount of 1,800,000 euros.
