Giovanni Battista Pergolesi

Using jazz as a vehicle, guitarist and composer Tilemachos Moussas, vocalist Nassia Gofa and musical saw soloist Nikos Giousef will be taking a fresh look back at the music of the Renaissance and the Baroque periods at the Athens Concert Hall on Wednesday, May 9, as part of the Bridges series.

Soprano Marimel Chrissi and mezzo soprano Lilian Tsatsaroni will perform Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" at the Idiomelo cultural center in Athens on Wednesday, April 27. The soloists will be accompanied by pianist Dimitra Kakaki, while Manolis Giourgos and Georgia Deligiannopoulou will read excerpts from "Ascesis: The Saviors of God," penned by Nikos Kazantzakis.

BELGRADE - The Studio For Early Music, headed by world-renowned musician Predrag Gosta, will late Tuesday perform a concert featuring works created by baroque composers in celebration of the Christmas holidays.
