Bilginer, Moss to be seen in FX-thriller ‘The Veil’
The U.S. television channel FX has produced a TV series for the first time in Türkiye, starring Golden Globe-winning U.S. actress Elisabeth Moss as veteran Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer will also be seen in the series.
Golden Boll Film Festival to be held in September
Turkey's International Golden Boll Film Festival will be held in the southern Adana province on Sept. 13-19, organizers said on Aug. 24.

Zeydan Karalar, the mayor of Adana, who will organize the festival, said in a statement that one of Turkey's most prestigious cinematic events, the 28th edition of the festival will be held with COVID-19 measures in place.

BluTV turns one with first TV series
Turkey's first digital TV platform, BluTV, celebrated its first anniversary on Jan. 23 at an event held at the Trump Towers Cinemaximum Movie Theaters, during which Turkey's first online TV series, "Masum" (Innocent), was also launched.
The event was attended by Doğan Holding Honorary Chairman Aydın Doğan, Doğan TV managers, "Masum" actors as well as press members and many guests.

'Winter Sleep' to be shown in Russia
Internationally acclaimed Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan's film "K?? Uykusu" (Winter Sleep) is set to be screened in Russia at a festival bringing together the modern adaptations of writer Anton Chekhov's works.
During the event, members of the public will also be able to come together with foreign and Russian cinema artists.

Mentality problem
Not because he had international experience and a worldwide reputation as an actor or his bass voice, incredible use of body language in his plays, years of excellent performance as an actor, but rather as a modern face of intellectual Turkey on stage, TV and cinema, I always had high admiration of Haluk Bilginer. I came across him this week while reading the magazine "Ot."
