Mrkic: Vatican has no intention of recognizing Kosovo
BELGRADE - The Vatican does not intend to recognize the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), and there are no signals that the five EU member states will change their position concerning the non-recognition of Kosovo's independence either, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic has said.
Dikovic: All tasks carried out responsibly
UZICE - Over the past year, the Serbian Armed Forces carried out all their tasks in a conscientious, responsible and disciplined manner, Serbian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic said on Wednesday.
"The members of the armed forces are used to this and we know no other way of working," Dikovic said at a ceremony marking the Serbian Armed Forces Day.

Mrkic meets with EU ministers in Athens on Saturday
BELGRADE - Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic will take part in a ministerial session of the EU member and candidate states in Athens on Saturday.
The informal meeting hosted by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton will table the integration process of the EU candidate countries, the Eastern and the Southern partnerships.
Mrkic, Kosugi on fostering Serbian-Japanese ties
BELGRADE - Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic conferred on Tuesday with Takashi Kosugi, Japanese former minister of education and MP of the Liberal Democratic Party, on fostering of the two countries' relations.
During the talks, the two officials agreed that there is a mutual interest in promotion of overall Serbian-Japanese relations, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Czech President Milos Zeman arrives in Belgrade
BELGRADE - President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman arrived on an two-day official visit to Serbia and immediately met with President Tomislav Nikolic on Tuesday.
Nikolic greeted Zeman and the Czech delegation he leads in front of the Palace of Serbia with full state honors, after which the two presidents started a tete-a-tete meeting.

President Nikolic visits Mauthausen Memorial
MAUTHAUSEN - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic ended a two-day working visit to Austria on Friday by visiting the Mauthausen Memorial, where where he laid a wreath at the memorial monument to Yugoslav victims.
