Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has ordered the interim chairperson of the Road Transport Inspection executive agency (DAI) Krasimir Kalaydzhiev to dismiss the director of the agency's general directorate Road Transport Inspection Vladimir Kolev.

Bulgaria's DSB Party Demands Resignation of Transport Minister

Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), one of the parties constituting the junior coalition partner, the Reformist Bloc (RB), demanded the resignation of Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski on Monday.

DSB demanded the resignation of Moskovski due to the recent corruption scandal involving the chairperson of the Road Transport Administration (DAI) executive agency Tsvetelin Tsvetanov.

Transport Minister Proposes Krasimir Kalaidjiev to Head Road Transport Agency ad Interim

Bulgaria's Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski has proposed to dismiss Tsvetelin Tsvetanov, head of the Road Transport Administration Executive Agency, who was arrested earlier this week over suspected wrongdoing in licensing procedures at the agency.

Tzvetanov's deputy, Krasimir Kalaidjiev, has been proposed to serve as interim execitive director of the government agency.

Bulgaria Govt to Grant Concession on Plovdiv Ariport

Bulgaria's government decided on Wednesday to award the concession of the airport in Plovdiv, the country's second largest city, officials say.

At a ministerial meeting, a previous announcement by Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski was confirmed that envisages the opening of a procedure to grant a 35-year concession (the maximum initial length under Bulgarian law) on the airport.
