No Greece deal at Eurogroup, issue to be reviewed in June

Eurozone finance ministers, the International Monetary Fund and the Greek government failed to agree at talks on Monday on a release of further bailout funds for Athens and reached no deal on further offers of debt relief for Greece, EU officials said.

According reports, the issue will be discussed again next month.

In late night Eurogroup talks, bid for comprehensive Greek deal

Representatives of Greece's international creditors on Monday night remained locked in talks at a Eurogroup meeting in Brussels where both bailout funding and the debt question were on the table.

An initial meeting, involving all eurozone finance ministers, yielded a mostly positive assessment of Greece's adoption of a series of prior actions, according to sources.

Agreement on final package to be reached soon, Eurogroup chief Dijsselbloem says

“I hope the procedures to have been completed before the end of May”, said Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem addressing on Thursday the European Parliament during a debate on the Greek programme.

On his part European Commissioner Pierre Moscovici noted that “Greece can turn page but it must be supported”.

Lagarde says she had constructive discussions with Tsakalotos on policies and debt

The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, said on Friday she had a constructive conversation with Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos during their meeting on the sidelines of the IMF Spring Meetings in Washington DC.
