Although my grandfather, Josip Broz Tito, "gave" the name "Macedonia" to one of the six constituent republics of Yugoslavia, it is obvious that this act did not aim to create irredentist claims with its neighbors, with which Yugoslavia developed friendly relations and fruitful cooperation.

Croat Clothing Brand Profits From Tito Nostalgia
Croatian-based clothing company Titos is making sales across the globe, by rebranding the image and slogans of Yugoslavia's one-time communist boss as must-have wardrobe items.
The brand draws on the well known image of Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito and the legacy of Socialist Yugoslavia and its slogans about "unity" and the "working people".

Tito's Name Still Adorns Streets Across Ex-Yugoslavia
A new Google map (see above) developed by Italian researcher Giorgio Comai shows that there are still 276 squares, streets and waterfronts named after former Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito.
The map, created using data from Google from August 2017, shows that more than half of them are located in Serbia - 176 squares, streets and waterfronts named after Tito.

Zagreb Mayor Decides to Rename Tito Square
Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic said that he will ask the city assembly for the square named after former Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito to be renamed the Square of the Republic of Croatia.

The CIA had its eye fixed on communist Yugoslavia from the 1940s, closely following developments until its final days in 1991.
After an American NGO, MuckRock won a case against the CIA, the agency had to make its already opened files more accessible. Last week, the online base of documents was opened to the public.
