Nation remembers Atatürk, flocks to Anıtkabir, Dolmabahçe Palace
Turkey on Nov. 10 commemorated the 83rd anniversary of the passing of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the country's War of Independence and founder of modern Turkey, with the nation flocking to his mausoleum, Anıtkabir, in the capital Ankara and Dolmabahçe Palace, where he passed away in Istanbul in 1938.
Sakıp Sabancı Museum to start open-air activities
Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) will host open-air activities throughout the summer.

The first of the events, the Summer in the Garden Festival, organized by Hakan Erdoğan Productions, will start today with the theme "Invitation to Joy" and continue until Sept. 10.

Turkish frigate saves 30 Med Sea migrants from drowning
The staff of Turkish Navy frigate TCG Gaziantep, which is on a Mediterranean duty to support NATO's Operation Sea Guardian, rescued 30 migrants on a drifting dingy off Libya.
Spotting the unregistered migrants on the boat, the frigate intervened.
