Top Turkish, US diplomats discuss bilateral relations
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed bilateral relations on the sidelines of NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Latvia's capital Riga on Dec. 1.
Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Latvia to attend the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Riga on 30 November-1 December 2021 and to hold a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
Erdoğan, Biden to meet today in Rome
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his U.S. counterpart will meet on Oct. 31 on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rome, a senior U.S. official said.
The NATO allies had been expected to hold a bilateral at the U.N. summit climate in Glasgow next week, but a senior U.S. administration official briefed reporters on Oct. 30 that it would take place Sunday morning.

20.000 hectares of forest have already been destroyed, and 1.500 people have been evacuated.
7.500 people, helicopters and "Canadian" planes were mobilized to put out the fire. During the night, tourists who spent their summers in the port of Porto Alabe were evacuated. Fires are raging near 13 cities, and firefighters' efforts are hampered by strong and hot winds.
Greek-Italian “tourism conflict”
There seems a "tourist conflict" is evolving this summer. With a special recommendation and letter, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed a travel agent, who has organized a trip of 400 high school students from Ancona to Corfu and Athens.

Italy Ready to Reopen for Foreign Tourists
Earlier this month Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi stated that Italy could be open to foreigners by mid-May, but he did not specify which foreign travelers and whether those from the United States would be included.
