Dendias: Athens wanted stronger Italian support over Turkey
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio in Rome Wednesday.
Despite the positive atmosphere of the meeting, Dendias expressed Athens' disappointment over Rome's stance at the recent European Council on the issue of sanctions against Turkey.

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio in Rome on Wednesday.
In a tweet, Dendias said that talks focused on bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as recent developments in the eastern Mediterranean and the broader region.

Logar to meet Italian colleague on-line, visit Vatican Friday
Ljubljana – Foreign Minister Anže Logar is expected to hold talks with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on Thursday, although virtually and not in-person as was originally scheduled, as Di Maio is self-isolating. Logar will nevertheless travel to Rome, as he is also scheduled to visit the Holy See on Friday.
Turkish, Italian foreign ministers speak over phone
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke to his Italian counterpart over the phone, according to Turkish diplomatic sources on Dec. 5.
Çavuşoğlu and Luigi Di Maio discussed matters pertaining to the European Union, Cyprus, and bilateral relations, the sources said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Italian FM to visit Ankara
Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio will pay a visit to Turkey on June 17, Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
"During the meetings, bilateral relations between Turkey and Italy and Turkey's EU accession process will be discussed," it said in the statement.
