Romania wins to Poland 2-1 in Davis Cup, after the victory of Mergea/Tecau pair
Romania's male tennis team leads Poland's 2-1, after the pair of Florin Mergea/Horia Tecau won to the noted couple made of Lukasz Kubot/Marcin Matkowski 7-5 4-6 6-3 on Sunday at the western Cluj-Napoca Polivalent Hall in the third round of the Group II of the Europe-Africa zone of the Davis Cup.
Bryan brothers oust Troicki and Paire from Barcelona men's doubles
BARCELONA - Serbian Viktor Troicki and Frenchman Benoit Paire were ousted from the men's doubles event at the ATP tournament in Barcelona by brothers Bob and Mike Bryan of the United States 6-2, 6-1 in a last 16 match on Monday.
It took the Americans a bit over 43 minutes to blitz past the Serbian-French combination.
Tennis: Tecau and Srebotnik advance to quarterfinals of mixed doubles event at Roland Garros
Romanian-Slovenian pair formed by Horia Tecau and Katarina Srebotnik has qualified for the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles event of the Roland Garros tournament, the second Grand Slam tournament of the year, on Saturday, after defeating Indian-Swiss pair Leander Paes/Martina Hingis, seeded eighth in the event, by 6-7 (6), 6-3, 10-6.
Zimonjic/Matkowski ousted in Barcelona
BARCELONA - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Poland's Marcin Matkowski have been ousted in the first round of the Barcelona ATP men's doubles tournament after losing to the Spanish-Belarusian pair of Feliciano Lopez/Max Mirnyi 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 10-7 on Tuesday.

Tennis: Bryan brothers beat Zimonjic and Matkowski
MONTE CARLO- Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia and Marcin Matkowski of Poland were beaten by U.S. tennis players, brothers Bob and Mike Bryan at the Monte Carlo tournament, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1.
The prize fund of the tournament in Monte Carlo totals EUR 3.6 million.

Zimonjic, Matkowski ousted in Indian Wells semifinal
INDIAN WELLS - Serbian tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Poland's Marcin Matkowski failed to qualify for the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells as they were defeated by Canada's Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock of the U.S. in the match early on Saturday (CET), 6-4, 3-6, 10-6.
