Sofia's Boulevards Set for Major Renovations: What to Expect in 2024 and Beyond

Sofia is set to undergo significant infrastructural changes this year and in 2025, leading to the closure of several key boulevards. Andrey Zografski from the WCC-DB-SS group indicated that the city must significantly increase repair efforts to address its outdated infrastructure.

New Concert Hall with 5,000 Seats Planned Opposite Sofia's Central Station

A new concert hall with a capacity of 5,000 seats is set to be constructed opposite the Central Railway Station in Sofia. The facade of the hall will overlook the square in front of the station, standing at a height of 26 meters, while the roof will rise to 35 meters. Currently utilized as a parking area, the land spans an area of 9.6 decares, extending between "Maria Luiza" Blvd.

The arrest was made around one o'clock this morning on "Maria Luiza" boulevard in Sofia.

After an argument between the young man who was driving a car and people who were driving in another car, a traffic police team came to the scene.

Man Reportedly Jumps in Front of Underground Train in Sofia

A man reportedly jumped in front of an underground train in the Bulgarian capital on Monday.

The incident occurred at the Beli Dunav underground station as the man jumped in front of the train going in the direction of the city centre.

The man is believed to have not survived the impact, private NOVA TV informs.
