SYRIZA coalition partner AN.EL calls for resignation of Parliament speaker Konstantopoulou
Pressure on Greek Parliament Speaker Zoe Konstantopoulou is mounting after right wing party AN.EL spokesperson Marina Chrysoveloni called on her to resign from her post. Speaking to Greek radio station Real fm, Chrysoveloni said Konstantopoulou should facilitate matters and step down as speaker of parliament, while commenting on the agreement she explained it was a compromise.

A deputy of the right-wing anti-austerity junior coalition partner Independent Greeks (ANEL) Dimitris Kammenos on Thursday posted a photo of the infamous Auschwitz sign, “Arbeit macht frei” replaced by “We Stay in Europe”. The post led to friction within the ANEL party between ANEL spokesperson Marina Chrysoveloni and and deputy Dimitris Kammenos who had a terse discussion.

Coalition partner Independent Greeks distanced itself on Wednesday from one of its own MPs, Dimitris Kammenos (no relation to party leader and Defense Minister Panos Kammenos), who posted on his Facebook page a doctored photograph of the entrance to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Marathon Municipality's revenues presented to Parliament
