Ski jumper Zajc 6th on large hill at Beijing Olympics

Beijing – Slovenian ski jumper Timi Zajc finished 6th in the men’s individual event on the large hill at the Winter Olympics in Beijing on Saturday, as Norway’s Marius Lindvik won the gold medal. Three other Slovenians finished in the top 12 jumpers, setting up the stage for Monday’s team event in which Slovenia will be going for a medal.

Successful Start for Bulgaria at the Beijing Olympics

Vladimir Zografski overcame the qualification in ski jumping on the small ramp in the first Bulgarian start of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. Our best jumper entered the top 50 with a 13th result after jumping 97.5 m in crosswinds. He overcame the qualification with a total score of 99.7 points.

Anže Lanišek second in Zakopane Ski Jumping World Cup

Zakopane – Slovenia’s Anže Lanišek took second place at the Zakopane Ski Jumping Word Cup individual event on Sunday. Norway’s Marius Lindvik won the competition, whereas his fellow Norwegian Robert Johansson placed third.

Lanišek, who was in the lead after the first round with his 133.5 metre-long jump, had to concede to Lindvik, losing by a whisker.
