Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mariya Gabriel, alongside 46 foreign ministers, have collectively denounced the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) export of ballistic missiles to Russia.

Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov reassured the public in a Facebook Q&A session regarding the upcoming cabinet rotation in March, emphasizing the government's firm stance on maintaining the Council of Ministers' composition despite negotiations with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS).

The chairman of Bulgaria's Association of Industrial Capital, Vasil Velev, recently proposed a boycott of Austrian initiatives and businesses within Bulgaria due to Austria's stance against Bulgaria's Schengen entry through land borders. This call has sparked reactions across the nation, notably drawing a response from GERB leader Boyko Borissov.

During the presentation of European Presidency priorities, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel underscored Bulgaria's position in essential global institutions. Stressing Bulgaria's rightful place in Schengen, the Eurozone, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Gabriel highlighted their significance during the event.

Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov disclosed that any ministerial changes during the impending cabinet rotation in March would only occur upon mutual agreement between himself and Mariya Gabriel, the current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov addressed the impending prime ministerial rotation, considering it a procedural transition, emphasizing the need for continuity during Mariya Gabriel's tenure. Borissov highlighted the incongruity of Gabriel accepting the mandate only to relinquish it shortly after.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet on Thursday with Bulgaria's counterpart, Nikolai Denkov, at the Maximos Mansion, to discuss transport and energy projects.

The meeting, scheduled at 1.30 p.m., will be followed by a working lunch.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov is currently conducting a significant working visit to Greece, aiming to bolster strategic ties between the two nations. Denkov's agenda includes crucial discussions and a working lunch with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

During a visit to Burgas, GERB leader Boyko Borissov affirmed that Mariya Gabriel would assume the Prime Minister's post as per the government rotation in March, refuting any possibility of his own return to the role.
