As the world stayed home and tuned in to their screens to escape the monotony of lockdowns, international series made an unprecedented impact in 2020.

In many ways, the COVID-19 crisis has served as a catalyst for a global content boom that was already well underway, fueled by the continuous growth of global platforms and increased original programming from local TV players.

Internationally acclaimed Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan's film "K?? Uykusu" (Winter Sleep) is set to be screened in Russia at a festival bringing together the modern adaptations of writer Anton Chekhov's works.

During the event, members of the public will also be able to come together with foreign and Russian cinema artists. 

Director Nuri Bilge Ceylan?s latest Palme d?Or-winning movie ?K?? Uykusu? (Winter Sleep) swept the board at the 47th Turkish Cinema Writers Association (S?YAD) awards, presented at Istanbul?s Cemal Re?it Rey Concert Hall on March 11.
