An exhibition titled "Elisa Zonaro's Istanbul," showcasing the works of photographer Elisa Zonaro — the wife of renowned Ottoman-era palace painter Fausto Zonaro — has opened at Istanbul's Kazlıçeşme Sanat.

The restoration of the Balıklı Rum Hospital's historical nursing home building, tragically reduced to ashes by a devastating fire last year, has reached its culmination.

A fire broke out on Aug. 4, 2022, in the historical nursing home building of Balıklı Rum Hospital, which served as a military hospital during the First World War.

A total of 1 million worms at the facility of the Zeytinburnu Municipality in Istanbul that feed on organic waste collected from marketplaces and groceries have produced a ton of fertilizer for use in horticulture.

Over 100 people have been evacuated from Istanbul's Balıklı Rum Hospital as a fire broke out and spread rapidly.

According to local reports, a fire broke out on the roof of the building in the Zeytinburnu district at around noon on Aug. 4.
