9th protest held in Belgrade
At the ninth One of Five Million protest march in Belgrade, which took place on Feb. 2, the protesters left messages for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, explaining the reasons why they had taken to the streets and criticizing Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic's statement and voicing demands that he resign.

Tens of Thousands Joins Serbia's Latest Protest March
A long column of people attending the tenth anti-government protest in nine weeks in Belgrade called on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to resign - as the first solidarity protest took place also in the divided northern Kosovo town of Mitrovica.
Serbian PM visiting Germany Nov. 12-14
Brnabic will participate in the Economic Forum organized by the German daily Suddeutsche Zeitung.
Brnabic will speak, together with the prime ministers of Estonia and Iceland, Juri Ratas and Katrin Jakobsdottir respectively, is "Digital Europe: the Vision of Three Countries".

Serbian PM to visit CERN in Geneva
The announcement was made by the Serbian government on Monday.
The Serbian delegation will also include Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic who will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in Education of Teachers from Serbia.

Serbian Bosniaks Ask to Change Schools' Names
The vice-president of the Bosnian National Council, Esad Dzudzo, told BIRN that the organisation that represents Bosniaks' interests in Serbia will use all legal means to push its proposal for eight schools in the country's southern Sandzak region to be renamed after prominent Bosniaks, despite opposition from state officials.

Center for preservation of Serbian language, culture opens
According to the Serbian government, Brnabic said that her cabinet will support the center, which will be "equally important for humanistic social sciences as the science-research station Petnica is for natural sciences."
PM at School of Electrical Engineering's Innovation Center
This is according to Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, who toured the center on Thursday, and added that it is necessary to achieve greater connectivity between science and economy.
Authorities look to boost computer science education
This has been announced with Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic, who explained that the original idea wass to establish the new faculty as a branch of the EFT.
But "the story with the EFT is not over yet," Sarcevic continued - however, if no agreement is reached, "other options are being considered, such as setting up a new faculty."
PM announces "chance for young researchers"
The press conference was called on the occasion of a call by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development for admission of 1,000 PhD students on research projects, the government announced.
Brnabic recalled that a comprehensive reform of the education system of Serbia began last year when it was decided to increase investment in this field.

First digital textbook in Serbia presented
Speaking at the Drinka Pavlovic Elementary School in Belgrade, she said that the Serbian government has allocated EUR 70 million for introduction of digital textbooks.
