Serbia's Olga Danilovic wins Guangzhou WTA tournament

GUANGZHOU - Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic has won the Guanzhou WTA tournament in China by beating American Caroline Dolehide 6-3, 6-1 in the final on Sunday.

Danilovic, who has lifted her second WTA trophy, climbed to a career-highest 52nd place in the WTA ratings on Monday.

The prize money at Guangzhou is 267,082 dollars.

Danilovic through to Roland Garros fourth round

PARIS - Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic is through to the fourth round at Roland Garros after coming from behind to defeat world number 40 Dona Vekic of Croatia 0-6, 7-5, 7-6 (10-8) in the third round on Friday afternoon.

This is the highest career achievement for Danilovic and her first-ever qualification for the fourth round of any Grand Slam tournament.

Danilovic gets off to successful start at Roland Garros

ROME - Serbian tennis players Olga Danilovic and Aleksandra Krunic have failed to qualify for the main draw of the Rome WTA tournament.

In the last qualifying round on Tuesday, Danilovic lost 6-2, 6-0 to Clara Tauson of Denmark after just 66 minutes of play, while Krunic suffered a 7-5, 6-2 defeat to Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich after an hour and 38 minutes of play.

PERTH - The Serbia national tennis team is out of the United Cup after Natalija Stevanovic lost 6-1, 6-1 to Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic in Perth on Wednesday.

Winning after only 65 minutes of play, Tomljanovic handed Australia a decisive 2-0 lead in the quarter-final tie against Serbia.

Stevanovic was a stand-in for Olga Danilovic.
