Serbian police: No indications that Macedonian conflict will spill over to Serbia

The current security situation is satisfactory and there are no indications that clashes in Macedonia will spill over to Serbia in the coming period.

This was concluded on Sunday during a meeting of the Security Services Coordination Bureau.

Kosovo's president and prime minister, Atifete Jahjaga and Isa Mustafa, expressed deep concern on Monday about the involvement of Kosovo citizens in gun battles with police in the Macedonian town of Kumanovo at the weekend.

Jahjaga and Mustafa said in a joint statement the violence was intended "to destabilise Kosovo and neighbouring countries by challenging peace and safety".

That is what VBA Deputy Director Brigadier General Petar Cvetković, said late on Wednesday during a reception organized to celebrate VBA Day.
