Stano: EU expects new Serbian gov't to show commitment to EU path

BRUSSELS - EU spokesperson Peter Stano said on Thursday the EU expected the new government of Serbia to demonstrate its commitment to the country's EU path.

At a Brussels press briefing, Stano said the EU looked forward to cooperating with the new Serbian government in its efforts to achieve EU membership as Serbia's strategic goal.

Belgrade-Pristina dialogue on dinar ban to continue on Thursday

BRUSSELS - Another round of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue will be held in Brussels on Thursday, with Pristina's unilateral decision to ban the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija expected to be the main topic of discussions.

Belgrade's delegation, which includes many experts, will again be headed by the director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Petar Petkovic.

BRUSSELS - Commenting on the 11th anniversary of the Brussels Agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, EU spokesperson Peter Stano said on Friday all commitments from that agreement as a valid document must be implemented, and noted that Pristina would face consequences in case it failed to form a Community of Serb Municipalities.

Vucic, Lajcak meet in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak at the Presidency of Serbia in central Belgrade shortly after 6 pm on Friday.

The meeting is also attended by the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic.
