The United Nations should consider a force of some 20,000 soldiers from non-NATO countries and 4,000 police to help resolve the crisis in Ukraine, according to a new report to be presented to top officials this week.

Disruption of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund threatens Ukraine with bankruptcy. This was stated in an interview with the "Ozzrevatel" magazine, Andrei Reva, Minister of Social Policy of the country, FOCUS reports.

Saakashvili, who is now the leader of Ukraine's opposition Movement of New Forces, said this before the District Court in Kiev on Monday.

About 1,000 police officers guarded the court today, with about 200 Saakashvili supporters gathered outside, who tried but failed to break through a police cordon before the start of proceedings.

Police intervened in the protest of anti-government protesters. According to Ukrainian media, four people have been injured.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has admitted the possibility of making changes to language standards in the new education law after talks with European partners, TASS reported.

Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated after massive explosions and a blaze at a military ammunition depot in central Ukraine.

Ukranian emergency services said the blasts occurred at a military base near Kalynivka in the Vynnytsya region, 270km (168 miles) west of Kiev.

One person was injured, it said.

Hungary will block in the EU and veto any step that may lead to further progress by Ukraine in the process of European integration under the Eastern Partnership program, reports Mediapool. 

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on Thursday in New York said that he was scrapping his planned visit to Ukraine in October after Ukraine's parliament passed a law curbing the right to education in minority languages, including Romanians.
