Republika Srpska's interior ministry officially unveiled its new gendarmerie police unit on Tuesday at a ceremony in Zaluzani, near the entity's administrative centre Banja Luka - a move that sparked criticism from Bosniak politicians in the Serb-dominated entity.

Milorad Dodik on Tuesday said he would cut Ramiz Salkic's salary by 20 per cent because the Bosniak [Muslim] Vice President of the Republika Srpska had "told notorious falsehoods that inflict inevitable damage on the RS's reputation".

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska has adopted a resolution proclaiming the entity's military neutrality at a session that opposition and ethnic minority MPs boycotted.

The resolution proclaims the neutrality of the Republika Srpska entity in relation to military alliances, and says the RS is committed to coordinating its future status with Serbia.

BANJA LUKA - The president and vice-president of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik and Ramiz Salkic respectively, condemned together on Tuesday the terrorist attack in Zvornik that left one policeman dead and two wounded, and called for peace and tolerance among citizens.

Members of Bosnian Presidency elected

SARAJEVO -- The Election Commission has confirmed the election of the three members of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

They are Bakir Izetbegović of the Party of Democratic Action, Dragan Čović of the Croatian Democratic Union and Mladen Ivanić of the Party of Democratic Progress.
