Stavros Tsakyrakis

A two-day symposium started on Friday on the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos to discuss issues such as human rights, judicial power, politics and freedom of speech, in memory of eminent law professor Stavros Tsakyrakis.

He died a while ago and at his funeral was sent off by a good many people, the way he deserved. I am referring to the late Stavros Tsakyrakis, a professor of constitutional law at the University of Athens.

Politicians across the spectrum are paying their respects to Stavros Tsakyrakis, the eminent law professor and anti-junta activist, who lost his battle with cancer on Friday night at the age of 67.
