German Chancellor Angela Merkel wants to hear from Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in person about the reform plans that he has promised to present to Greece's eurozone peers soon, her spokesman said Monday ahead of their talks in Berlin.

The German government remains committed to keeping Greece within the eurozone, a spokesman said on Monday, after Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said last week that he could not rule out an accidental exit of the country from the eurozone.

On Tuesday the German Chancellor Angela Merkel is scheduled to meet with the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi.
According to German Chancellor’s representative Steffen Seibert, the meeting will be held in Berlin where issues concerning Eurozone will be discussed.
