Weather: One dead and many damages left behind by “Cassandra” – The phenomena recede, where it will rain today

One death and serious problems in western Greece were left behind by the “Cassandra” that hit the country in the past 48 hours. However, the effects are receding with the bad weather moving further east and weakening.

In a post, EMF director Thodoros Kolydas said:

Weather Update: Summer Conditions Until Sunday, Significant 8°C Temperature Drop Expected on Monday

Summer conditions will persist until Sunday, with temperatures rising to unseasonably high levels, reaching – and in some areas exceeding – 32°C. For example, Sparta and Thebes recorded 32.6°C yesterday.

Weather: 30°C Today, Cold Front Expected Starting Sunday

Weather is forecast today in the Ionian Sea and Epirus until the afternoon, while in the rest of Greece cloudy with a chance of rain is expected in the west and north at noon. Although cloudy, the weather will resemble summer with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees and continuing their upward trend until Sunday.

Weather: Gradual Temperature Rise Towards the End of the Week – Anticyclone Blocker Approaching

Temperatures will gradually rise through the end of the week. According to the latest forecast data from meteo.gr / National Observatory of Athens, during the next few days the atmospheric circulation will favor the transfer of warm air masses towards our country.
