The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for Turkey's manufacturing sector stood at 55.3 points in August, hitting its highest level since March 2011, according to a report released by the leading financial analysis company, IHS Markit, on Sept. 5.

Turkey's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector was 52.3 points in March, showing one of the largest month-on month increases in the headline figure in the 12-year history of the survey, according to a report from IHS Markit on April 3.

A key manufacturing index has pointed to a broad stabilization in Turkey's manufacturing sector, as manufacturing output increased since previous months and output index rose to the highest level since January 2016. 

Turkish manufacturing activity shrank at a slower pace in January thanks to an increase in new export orders after sinking to a four-month low the previous month, a survey showed on Feb. 1.

The manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 48.7 in January from 47.7 in December 2016, according to the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and HIS Markit.

The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) Turkey PMI Manufacturing Index declined to 50.9 in the first month of 2016, indicating continuous growth in the manufacturing sector despite its loss of speed.
