The trial of the leaders of the former KLA continues today in The Hague
They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
So far, seven prosecution witnesses have been heard in the trial against the leader of the former KLA. They are accused of murder, persecution and torture.
All four defendants pleaded not guilty to any of the counts of the indictment.

On April 3, the four wartime leaders will be together again, this time before the prosecutors at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague courtroom to hear the charges against them read out in the courtroom as their trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity begins.

"By taking these actions, Thaci and Veseli have put their personal interests ahead of the victims of their crimes, the rule of law, and all people of Kosovo," the prosecution said in a statement.
Veseli: As a future Prime Minsiter, I will pledge to enforce justice
Veseli announced that in the capacity of the future Prime Minister he will not allow "history to be manipulated, including allowing the victims to be equal to the executioners", as he put it.
Saying that Solaja's release on parole presents a shameful act, Veseli added on his Facebook profile that this in the same time exposes "Belgrade unwillingness to enforce justice".

Still, he added, this suspension cannot last long.
In the interview for the Voice of America, Veseli said that the resolution of Kosovo issue lies in Serbian recognition of Kosovo's independence as, as he said "sovereign state of Kosovo within existing borders". In return, "Kosovo will recognize the Republic of Serbia".

He added that "Serbia should not be allowed to benefit from Kosovo's mistakes," pointing out that currently no western partner was on Pristina's taxes on goods from central Serbia, increased by 100 percent in November.

After meeting Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Parliament Speaker Kadri Vejseli, and the US ambassador to Pristina, Philip Kosnett, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj on Thursday defended the high tax imposed on Serbian imports as a "sovereign decision of the government".

Pristina would like to be recognized by Belgrade, join UN
The president of the Kosovo Assembly said this at a joint press conference with representatives of the provisional Pristina institutions, Hashim Thaci, Ramush Haradinaj, and Shpend Ahmeti, one of the coordinators of the dialogue team.
KLA court "will be formed, Pristina has no power to stop it"
Veseli, who is the leader of the DPK party - led until his election as president by Hashim Thaci - was referring to the Specialist Chambers, set up to deal with the crimes committed by the former KLA.
