Romania's Ungur advances to second round of Caltanissetta ATP Challenger 2015
Romania's tennis player Adrian Ungur, 30, advanced to the second round of the men's single event at the 106,500-euro Caltanissetta ATP Challenger 2015 tournament in Italy after defeating French Maxime Hamou, 20, on Monday, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
Ungur, ranked 193rd in the ATP ranking, needed two hours and ten minutes to defeat number 232 in the world's ranking.
Athletes Szabo, Raducan and Hanescu to participate in Wings for Life World Run
Retired three-time world champion runner Gabriela Szabo, retired artistic gymnast Andreea Raducan, a multiple gold medallist, and tennis player Victor Hanescu are among the public figures to participate in the Wings for Life World Run, a sports event with charitable purposes to be staged on May 3 in Bucharest, organisers report.

Tennis: Tecau and Rojer win doubles at ATP Valencia Open
Romanian Horia Tecau and Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer won the doubles competition of the ATP Valencia Open, defeating the pair Kevin Anderson (South Africa) / Jeremy Chardy (France) 6-4, 6-2 in the Sunday final.
Troicki in quarterfinals
CORTINA - Serbia's tennis player Viktor Troicki clinched two victories in just one day, after outplaying Victor Hanescu of Romania and compatriot Boris Pasanski 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-4) at an ATP challenger in Cortina on Thursday and thus managed to get into the quarterfinals.
For a place in the semis, Troicki will face Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain.

Turkey’s Marsel İlhan takes the court in Wimbledon
Turkeyâs Marsel Ä°lhan starts his Wimbledon campaign with a first round game against Denis Kudla of the United States today.
The 27-year-old player is having his second appearance in the first round of the menâs competition in tennisâ third Grand Slam. He overcame the qualifying round last week.

Novak Djokovic through to round of sixteen
INDIAN WELLS - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic qualified for the round of sixteen of the Masters 1000 Seriesin Indian Wells.
World's second best tennis player beat Romania's Victor Hanescu, 7-6 (7-1), 6-2.
In the fight for the quarterfinal, Djokovic will cross rackets with Columbia's Alejandro Gonzalez who defeated Ivan Dodig of Croatia, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5).
