Greece will see a further rise in tourism flow from China in 2019, after an increase of over 22 percent recorded in the first nine months of 2018, both Greek and Chinese officials told Xinhua.

By the end of 2018, Greek tourism authorities expect to welcome up to 200,000 visitors from China, one of the world's fastest growing markets.

China hopes the European Union remains united and continues to play an important role in the world, a top Chinese diplomat said on Oct. 13 ahead of President Xi Jinping's trip to Britain, a country which will vote by 2017 on whether to leave the EU. 

China said on Friday that it was confident Greece's talks with creditors to avoid defaulting on its debt would go positively, in comments made ahead of Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Europe next week.

New Danube bridge to be finished by mid-December

They discussed preparations for the summit of 16 leaders of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), which will be co-hosted by China and Serbia in Belgrade in December.
