The B&E Goulandris Foundation (goulandris.gr) has gotten the new year off to a strong start with a tribute to the Nouveau Realisme movement, a turning point in the history of art that marked the transition from modern to contemporary.

Turkey?s Akbank Sanat, the art foundation of Akbank, has brought German artists? group ZERO?s innovative and dynamic soul to ?stanbul with ?Countdown to the Future,? launched Sept. 2.

The exhibition hosts works by internationally renowned painters and sculptors like Auguste Rodin, Salvador Dali, with the cooperation of Akbank and Sabanc? University Sak?p Sabanc? Museum. 

With an Atlantic tailwind from May auctions in New York, in which the two biggest auction houses sold art pieces totaling more than $2 billion, many eyes are focused on major sales which began this week in London, sales which may see prices soar again to dizzying heights, Reuters has reported.
