Vucic: I am proud of Serbian army's progress

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday he was proud of the progress of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Those who have destroyed the army now view its progress "with envy and malice," Vucic told reporters in a comment on a statement by opposition politician Zdravko Ponos about investments in the military.

The list "Aleksandar Vui - Together we can do everything" has won the most votes - 42.91 percent of votes, i.e. 120 parliamentary mandates.
The coalition "United for the Victory of Serbia" with 13.69 percent of votes or 38 seats is second, and the third list is "Ivica Dacic - Prime Minister of Serbia", which won 11.43 percent of votes or 32 seats.

Analyst says election result in Serbia was expected

Ljubljana/Belgrade – The only news after the presidential and general elections in Serbia was the result of opposition parties, while everything else had been known in advance, as all mechanism for election victory had been in the hands of Aleksandar Vučić, Borut Šuklje, a former Slovenian diplomat and an expert on the Balkans, told the STA on Monday.

Serbia: Second term for Vucic, SPP wins about 40%

The results of Serbia's presidential and parliamentary elections show that Aleksandar Vucic and his Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) have won convincing victories.

In a joint forecast, election observer CeSID and the sociological organization Ipsos predict that Vucic will win a second five-year term as president, receiving almost 60% of the vote.
