Flash Floods Leave Serbian Capital Under Water
Heavy rain in Belgrade in the last few days has left many streets in the city under water. Many pavements, driveways and parking lots are submerged and in some places water has entered buildings.
On Sunday evening even the main highway was under water. Mayor Zoran Radojicic blamed this on malfunctions in two pumping stations. Due to the floods, traffic in Belgrade remains difficult.

Snow returns to Serbia - and is set to continue for days
Authorities expect this to cause traffic problems.
City services in Belgrade are on standby today, which means that 1,600 people and about 300 machines are out clearing the snow from the streets of the capital.
Monument to Serbian-American actor Karl Malden unveiled
It is located at the entrance to the Yugoslav Film Archive, and was unveiled by the institution's Director Jugoslav Pantelic and Dan Tana, a friend of the late actor, Tanjug is reporting.
First Belgrade Waterfront residential building opened
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and President Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian government announced.
On that occasion, Brnabic, Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic, Eagle Hills Director Mohamed Alabbar and Director of the Belgrade Waterfront company Nikola Nedeljkovic cut the ribbon.
