Aircraft from a U.S.-led coalition have destroyed the Turkish consulate compound in Mosul, which has been occupied by fighters of the Islamist State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) since June 2014, the Turkish Foreign Ministry has said. 

A special operations police officer was killed on March 29 after being severely wounded in clashes between the security forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of ??rnak. 

The alert level at Turkey's ?ncirlik Air Base in the southeastern province of Adana, which houses warplanes for the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), has recently been raised to its highest level.

Turkey's nation post office, PTT, has issued a stamp featuring the Varda Bridge in the southern province of Adana, where some scenes from the James Bond movie "Skyfall" were filmed in 2012.

Stating that the Varda Bridge had historical importance for Turkey and Adana, PTT Adana Director Mehmet Kani Gümü?o?lu said 50,000 stamps had been printed. 

Four suspects, including a married couple who were previously imprisoned for organizing swinger parties across southern Turkey, have been detained by the police in an operation, this time being accused of organizing group sex parties in exchange for money. 

A historic bridge in the southern province of Adana, which was built in 384 by Emperor Hadrian in the Roman era, has been graffitied by unidentified people. 

The bridge, literally translated to "stone bridge," is considered one of the oldest bridges in the world. 

Saudi warplanes arrived at the ?ncirlik Air Base in the southern province of Adana on Feb. 26 to help support the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), bringing the number of countries which have aircraft at the base as part of the ISIL fight to five.

Saudi warplanes sent to support the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) coalition have been scheduled to arrive at ?ncirlik Air Base in Turkey's southeastern province of Adana on Feb. 26, private broadcaster CNN Türk has reported.

The report said advance guards had already arrived at the base as of Feb. 25.

A delegation from Saudi Arabia was expected to arrive at ?ncirlik air base in Turkey's south on Feb. 24 in order to conduct preliminary research for four F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets it will send in support of the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) coalition.
