Families of Wartime Disappeared Urge Bosnian Prosecutors to Act
Relatives of 46 people from the Hadzici municipality who went missing in June 1992 and whose bodies have yet to be found held a rally outside the state prosecutor's office in Sarajevo on Monday, holding pictures of their loved ones and a banner with the names of the disappeared.
‘Invisible’ Bosnian War Detention Sites Marked with Memorial Signs
The Centre for Non-Violent Action said that activists from the Marking Unmarked Sites of Suffering campaign put up temporary memorial signs in November at eight unmarked sites where detainees were kept in inhumane conditions, mentally, physically and sexual abused, beaten and made to do forced labour during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bosnian Army Ex-Soldiers Convicted of Crimes Against Serb Prisoners
The Sarajevo Cantonal Court has sentenced Mustafa Divjan to ten years in prison and Alija Gazibara to two years for crimes against civilians in the Ilidza area during wartime, the court told BIRN.
Divjan was found guilty of killing two Serb civilian prisoners on April 22, 1993 while he was a member of the Bosnian Army's Fourth Motorised Brigade.
Bosnian War Defendant Dies Before Prison Camp Trial Verdict
Mustafa Djelilovic, a senior wartime figure in Bosnia's Hadzici municipality who was being retried for war crimes after his initial conviction was overturned, has died, his defence lawyer told BIRN on Wednesday.
"Unfortunately, he passed away on the way to hospital last night," said lawyer Edina Residovic.

The retrial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember opened at the Bosnian state court on Tuesday, with the defendants accused of crimes against civilians illegally detained at the Silos camp, the Krupa barracks and the 9th of May elementary school in the Hadzici municipality.

Bosniaks’ Convictions for Detention Camp Abuses Quashed
The appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court has upheld an appeal by Mustafa Djelilovic and Halid Covic against their convictions for crimes against Serb and Croat civilians illegally detained at the Silos camp, the Krupa barracks and the 9th of May elementary school in the Hadzici municipality.
Their verdicts have been quashed and a new trial ordered.
