Two municipal administrators in Ankara suspended
Two senior officials from the Ankara Municipality have been temporarily suspended amid an investigation into payments for a public concert.
The suspensions include Haluk Erdemir, head of the municipality's Cultural and Social Affairs Department, and Hacı Ali Bozkurt, the unit's coordinator. Both will remain suspended until the probe concludes.

Unified public transport card set to launch in Istanbul
A new project designed to unify public transportation across the country under a single card system is set to begin partial implementation in Istanbul, with plans to expand the program nationwide.
The Türkiye Card rollout in Istanbul follows an Oct. 31 decision by the megacity's transportation coordination center UKOME.
Heavy downpours, thunderstorms paralyze life in Istanbul
Heavy downpours and local thunderstorms have wreaked havoc in Istanbul, causing traffic disruptions and bringing daily life to a standstill.
Heavy rains first gripped Istanbul on Sept. 15, causing puddles to form on the city's streets. Scores of pedestrians sought shelter under business awnings and the downpour caused traffic to slow down significantly.
Tour of Istanbul embarks on four-day journey
The second edition of the Tour of Istanbul, a bicycle race organization held by Istanbul Municipality's Spor Istanbul initiative, has kicked off in Istanbul on Sept. 12 and will commence until Sept. 15.
Participating athletes started their four-day journey from a public garden in Çatalca at 10:30 a.m.
