Turkey captures over 500 migrants in multiple locations
Turkey has captured more than 500 migrants for illegal border crossings in multiple provinces around the country over the past three days.
In the northwestern province of Çanakkale, 285 migrants of Syrian and Afghan origin, who were attempting to cross to the Greek island of Lesbos, were captured in Çanakkale's Ayvac?k district on Oct. 14, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
New findings shed light on Temple of Apollo
New findings obtained at the Temple of Apollo, located in the village of Gülp?nar in the northwestern province of Çanakkale's Ayvac?k district, have revealed a residence, revealing plans and gardens of various eras.
The Temple of Apollo Smintheus, which became nonfunctional some 1,500 years ago, was used for different purposes in each era.

A car bomb exploded Aug. 12 in the eastern province of Tunceli during the passing of an armored police vehicle, wounding one police officer.
