India is already able to defeat Pakistan in less than 10 days in every new war with its rival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, AFP reported.

The neighbouring country's nuclear-weapon nations have fought three wars and last February came close to a fourth with tit-for-tat airstrikes sparked by an attack on Indian troops in Kashmir.

At least 57 people have died in avalanches in Pakistan-administered parts of Kashmir, Reuters reported. There are also missing people, but their exact number is unknown.

In neighbouring India, at least 10 people have died in several avalanches.

The Line of Control (LoC) dividing the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into India and Pakistan symbolizes decades of painful history. Now it is once again turning into a battleground between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

The large population living on both sides of the divide continue living on the edge amid one of the heaviest military presences in the world.

The United Nations on Dec. 27 approved a Russian-led bid that aims to create a new convention on cybercrime, alarming rights groups and Western powers that fear a bid to restrict online freedom.    

The General Assembly approved the resolution sponsored by Russia and backed by China, which would set up a committee of international experts in 2020.    

Turkey sees standing by Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir as its duty, the Turkish parliament speaker said on Oct. 1.

A secondary earthquake with a 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale shook northeastern Pakistan, where 38 people were killed in a major earthquake on Tuesday, destroying buildings and roads, according to BGNES.

The secondary quake caused massive panic, and thousands left their homes and remained on the streets and outdoors.

Khan had stated this in time of growing closeness between U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who discussed things twice in the course of the last three days. Trump invited two sides to overcome differences.
Addressing journalists in the UN General Assembly, Khan referred to Modli as racist, AP reports.

The president of the Pakistan-administered Kashmir has praised Turkey, saying the nation has repeatedly raised its voice against international crimes in the conflict zone.

The Pakistan Embassy in Ankara held a ceremony to observe the Defense Day of Pakistan on Sept. 7, and the Kashmir Solidarity Day to raise support for Kashmir.

Hundreds of people protested an unprecedented security crackdown and clashed with police on Aug. 16 in Indian-controlled Kashmir, as India's government said it was constantly reviewing the situation in the disputed region and the restrictions there will be removed over the next few days.
