Two people were killed and another two were wounded on Dec. 14 during clashes between security forces and protesters in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r that erupted after police refused to permit a march to protest an ongoing curfew.

A damaged cartridge that might be from the bullet that killed Diyarbak?r Bar Association head Tahir Elçi on Nov. 28 has been found at the scene of the murder, Justice Minister Bekir Bozda? said Dec. 1. 

Police officers visited the scene where Diyarbak?r Bar Association head Tahir Elçi was killed on Nov. 28 a full two days after the incident occurred, collecting just 43 out of 83 pieces of evidence in the area after they were fired upon by unknown perpetrators.

An attack on a gendarmerie command post in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province by suspected PKK members on Wednesday has left at least three people dead and five wounded, Anadolu news agency (AA) reported.
