Turkey to invest nearly $111 mln in gas facility in Black Sea
Turkey will invest 780 million Turkish liras (around $111 million) to build a subsea gas production facility, and a 155-kilometer-long pipeline connecting to a new onshore gas processing facility in Filyos, in the Zonguldak province along Turkey's western Black Sea coast, according to an environmental impact assessment application report for this three-phased integrated project.

Turkey will start using gas from the Sakarya Gas Field in the Black Sea in the first quarter of 2023, government sources told Anadolu Agency on Feb. 11.

Turkey lifts weekend curfew imposed in 15 provinces
Turkey lifted a two-day-long curfew early on June 1 that was imposed in some provinces as part of efforts to contain the novel coronavirus, which has killed more than 4,500 people in the country.
The curfew was in effect in 14 major provinces as well as Zonguldak province, where the prevalence of chronic respiratory diseases is high. Travel was also restricted in the provinces.
Inter-city travel restrictions may be lifted early June
Inter-city travel restrictions introduced in early April as part of wide-ranging measures to arrest the spread of the coronavirus may be abolished next month, Hürriyet daily has reported.
Turkey lifts 4-day coronavirus curfew in 31 provinces
Turkey lifted a four-day curfew as of midnight on April 26 which had been imposed in 31 provinces to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The government enforced its third weekend stay-at-home order, which included the national April 23 holiday and its following day.
Motorcyclists to help those in need during curfews
Turkey's motorbike enthusiasts will provide voluntary services to those in need, who are unable to leave their homes due to the novel coronavirus measures taken in the country.
Those older than 65, younger than 20 or who suffer from chronic illnesses are restricted from leaving their homes.

Turkish author Kemal Tahir's 47th death anniversary is being commemorated on April 21.
His most famous works are Devlet Ana (Mother State) that defines the ideal state by attributing to Turkish history and Yorgun Savaşçı (Tired Warrior) that tells the story of a Turkish soldier who fought for independence and liberation of Turkey.

Two soldiers killed in accident during shooting training in Turkey’s southeast
Two soldiers have been killed in an accident during a shooting training in the Çukurca district of the southeastern Hakkari province of Turkey, the Defense Ministry said on Jan. 16.
"Drowned in sadness, we wish Allah's mercy upon our martyrs and express our condolences to their families, the Turkish Armed Forces and our noble nation," the ministry said.
