Australia donates Gallipoli artifacts to Çanakkale
Australia has presented three artifacts from the 1915 Battle of Gallipoli to a Turkish military museum as a ?gesture of friendship.?
The Australian War Memorial donated a unit banner, a folding periscope and a hand grenade to the Çanakkale Naval Museum in northwestern Turkey.

76-year-old man cycles 1,054 kilometers to see grandson
A 76-year-old man has cycled more than 1,000 kilometers from the Aegean province of ?zmir to see his grandson who is serving in the military in the Black Sea province of Ordu.
Nureddin Gönülal, 76, cycled 1,054 kilometers from ?zmir's Ödemi? district to Ordu's Ünye district, where his grandson Saadettin Sevin, 21, is doing his military service.

Turkish Film Festival opens in Sarajevo
The 7th Turkish Film Festival was launched on April 22 in Sarajevo, opening with Ozhan Eren's "Son Mektup" (The Last Letter).
Organized by the Turkish Embassy's culture and tourism office, the festival will run until April 27, showing six films.

Hermann Nitsch opens exhibit in Çanakkale, gifts paintings to city
Renowned Austrian performance artist Hermann Nitsch has opened an exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Turkey?s victory at the Battle of Gallipoli.
The exhibition, ?Memorial Against the War,? is on display at an old depot that has been turned into an art gallery.
