BELGRADE -- Russia thinks that a future route for supply of Europe with natural gas "must go via Serbia," Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin has said.
This will happen when Moscow, in four years' time, abandons transits through Ukraine and turns to Turkey, and Nord Stream.

BELGRADE - The Balkan countries should decide in the next few months on the manner in which to maintain the gas supply once the agreement on transport of Russian gas via Ukraine expires in four years, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Chepurin said on Monday.

Gazprom Approves Capital Increase of South Stream Transport B.V.
The Board of Directors of Gazprom has approved a capital increase of EUR 569.4 M for South Stream Transport B.V.
A total of EUR 109.7 M were included in its capital in the final quarter of 2014 and a total of EUR 459.7 M is to be included in its capital in the first quarter of 2015, according to a media statement of Gazprom, as cited by the TASS news agency.

Turkey has replaced Ukraine since Russia declared the suspension of the long-planned South Stream project in early December 2014. In other words: Russia is going to build a new pipeline via Turkey, called the ?Turkish Stream,? which will transport Russian gas to Europe via Turkey instead of Ukraine.

Russia might direct a new pipe to Bulgaria functioning as a ramification of its planned gas pipeline to Turkey, President Vladimir Putin has hinted.
