BUDAPEST - The Serbia men's national water polo team has failed to reach the final of the World Championships in Budapest after losing 12-11 (1-1, 4-4, 4-4, 3-2) to Croatia late Thursday.

As a result, Serbia will not be defending their world champions title in the final and will instead face Greece in Saturday's bronze medal game.
