11 May 2016 Baghdad bombings

Three bombs went off in and around Baghdad on May 2, killing at least 14 people, including Shiite Muslim worshippers conducting an annual pilgrimage inside the capital, police and medical sources said.

Bombings claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group killed at least 24 people in a Shiite area of Baghdad on Feb. 28, the deadliest attacks to hit the Iraqi capital this year.

A suicide bomber attacked a Shiite-majority area of north Baghdad on Feb. 9, killing at least 14 people, security and medical officials said.
      
The blast in Kadhimiyah, which is home to a revered Shiite shrine, also wounded at least 43 people.
